Is the battery under warranty?

A normal watch battery should last about a year. If the watch stops during this period, there is another problem besides the battery.

What if my watch does not start after the battery is replaced?

A watch is a complex assembly and more significant problems than a depleted battery can occur. If I fit a new battery and the watch does not start, I do everything I can to get it running without needing a full repair. You do not have to pay anything for cleaning the contacts, moving the wheels and removing visible dirt. If the watch still does not start, it needs to be left for a general repair.

Why does the battery run out faster now than when the watch was new?

All the components of a new watch work at an optimal level, which makes the battery last longer. Normal operation of the watch over time causes the mechanical and electronic parts of the movement to no longer work at an optimal level, leading to increased friction, which drains the battery faster. A normal watch battery should last about a year. If the battery runs out faster, the watch needs to be repaired.
